Website Wins Marketing Effectiveness Award

The Summit International Awards (SIA) announced the winners of the Summit Marketing Effectiveness Award (MEA). The Nebraska state website, was awarded a Silver Award.

The Summit MEA competition is based on the premise that the goals of marketing communication are to change, influence, or reinforce a target audience’s knowledge, attitudes, or beliefs. The board of judges have reviewed submissions from 14 countries. Those setting the pace for effective marketing communications are recognized in the 2016 Summit Marketing Effectiveness Award competition.

With scenic background videos from around the state, the homepage features the search box, which allows users to access information producing optimized results through configurations, labeling, and tagging. The drop-down navigation features pertinent images and content commonly used, and the homepage tiles sections are organized by categories and influenced by Google Analytics. The “All State Services” and “All State Agencies” pages quickly sort, producing instant results highlighted in yellow. Effective communication of content helps the user get the information that he or she came for.

“All users need to efficiently connect to government and the website was created with that in mind. Responsive and adaptable, we can change content when needed efficiently, and it can be accessed from anywhere an Internet connection can be found. Being recognized by the SIA organization, which has established itself as one of the premier arbiters of creative and marketing excellence, is an honor and we appreciate the recognition for hard work done by our team.” noted Brent Hoffman, GM of Nebraska Interactive.
